This means that the <strong>earth-water (Kapha)<\/strong> elements begin to recede and the fire-water (Pitta) quality comes <strong>to the fore.<\/strong> So in May, the goal is <strong>to lighten the body, cool the internal heat, and prevent summer overheating.<\/strong><\/p><ol><li><h2><strong>\ud83e\udd57<\/strong><strong> Cleansing, lightness, freshness<\/strong><\/h2><\/li><\/ol><ul><li><strong>Light, cooked meals<\/strong> \u2013 vegetable soups, mung dhal, steamed or wok-cooked vegetables.<\/li><li><strong>Avoid heavy, fatty, sticky foods<\/strong> \u2013 dairy products, red meat, too much bread.<\/li><li><strong>Breakfast digestive drink<\/strong>:<\/li><li>You can start the day with a bitter drink by mixing 1 teaspoon of neem powder in warm water and drinking it on an empty stomach.<br \/>If you like more sour flavors, mix a glass of warm water with the juice of \u00bd lemon, a few drops of grapefruit seed extract, and the juice of 1 orange \u2013 it helps remove spring \u201cwinter deposits.\u201d<\/li><li><strong>Spring Ayurvedic Detox<\/strong> (e.g. porridge diet without fruits or kitchari diet) can always be useful \u2013 but don't be too drastic! This is nothing more than, for example, a 3-day mono-diet, when our body only has to digest one type of food, thus relieving the digestive system. This is a diet that suits all three doshas. Kitchari is made from mung beans, rice, vegetables and ghee. Mung beans are high in protein and have a blood-purifying effect. Rice is easy to digest and goes well with all kinds of vegetables. Ghee is generally good for our body. It is worth looking for kitchari recipes online, so you can also get ideas for seasoning.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"2\"><li><h2><strong>\ud83c\udf1e<\/strong><strong> Calming Pitta \u2013 Preparing for Cooling<\/strong><\/h2><\/li><\/ol><ul><li><strong>Cooling foods<\/strong>:<ul><li>Cucumber, coriander, mint, aloe vera, rose water,<\/li><li>Sweet fruits (e.g. mango, melon),<\/li><li>Bitter-green leafy vegetables (e.g. arugula, spinach).<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Avoid<\/strong> foods that are too spicy, acidic, or excessively salty - these increase Pitta.<\/li><li><strong>Coconut water<\/strong> or homemade mint lemonade: excellent May coolers.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"3\"><li><h2><strong>\ud83e\uddd8\u200d\u2640\ufe0f Exercise and daily routine<\/strong><\/h2><\/li><\/ol><ul><li><strong>Early wake up<\/strong> (it is worth getting up before 6:00 am) \u2013 ideally around 5:30 am.<\/li><li><strong>Morning exercise<\/strong>: light yoga, walking outdoors in the first rays of the sun, performing sun salutations (Surya Namaskar).<\/li><li><strong>Breathe<\/strong> \u2013 morning Pranayama (e.g. Sheetali \u2013 cooling breathing) is very useful in summer.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"4\"><li><h2><strong>\ud83c\udf38<\/strong><strong> Body care \u2013 in tune with summer<\/strong><\/h2><\/li><\/ol><ul><li><strong>Abhyanga with cooling oil<\/strong> \u2013 coconut oil, neem oil, or aloe-containing body oil.<\/li><li><strong>Use rose water<\/strong> on your face and neck \u2013 refreshing, toning, Pitta-calming.<\/li><li><strong>Cooling bath oils<\/strong> \u2013 e.g. with sandalwood, lavender or rose essences.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"5\"><li><h2><strong>\u2600\ufe0f Mental tuning<\/strong><\/h2><\/li><\/ol><ul><li>May is a good time <strong>to fine-tune your inner fire<\/strong> \u2013 your passion, your creativity.<\/li><li>Write a diary, plan inspiring projects \u2013 but <strong>don't burn out<\/strong> just yet.<\/li><li>Work on <strong>the heart chakra<\/strong> space: rose quartz, rose tea, practicing loving-kindness (metta meditation).<\/li><\/ul><p>Vipin has put together an <strong>Ayurvedic May plan for all-three dosha types<\/strong> \u2013 Vata, Pitta and Kapha. This can help keep your body balanced during this transitional period when the weather is warming up but can still be changeable, and Pitta is slowly becoming more dominant.<\/p><h2><strong>General Ayurvedic advice for May<\/strong>, which apply to all body types:<\/h2><ul><li><strong>Wake up:<\/strong>Between 5:30 and 6:30<\/li><li><strong>Morning:<\/strong>lukewarm lemon water + 10 minutes of breathing exercises<\/li><li><strong>Move:<\/strong>15\u201330 minutes of walking\/yoga\/stretching<\/li><li><strong>1x cooked, hot meal per day is mandatory<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Evening<\/strong>: digital silence + soothing tea (e.g. chamomile, rose, tulsi)<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>\ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f VATA type (air + ether)<\/strong><\/h3><p>Vata types are still sensitive to the spring wind and changeability at this time, so <strong>grounding, warmth, and rhythm are key<\/strong> .<\/p><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Meal:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Hot, cooked, oily<\/strong> foods: soups, kitchari, fried vegetables<\/li><li>Use <strong>ghee<\/strong>, sesame oil, spices: cinnamon, ginger, cardamom<\/li><li>Avoid: raw, cold foods, too much salad, caffeine<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Morning routine:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Warm sesame oil abhyanga self-massage<\/li><li>A slow-start day \u2013 don\u2019t rush, have rituals<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Evening quiet:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Warm milk or herbal alternative (with cinnamon, cardamom)<\/li><li>Foot massage with warm sesame oil<\/li><li>Bedtime: no later than 10:00 PM<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>\ud83d\udd25<\/strong><strong> PITTA type (fire + water)<\/strong><\/h3><p>For Pittas, May already feels warm, they are prone to overheating and irritability - goal: <strong>cooling, relaxation, calm<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Meal:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Cooling, bitter and sweet foods: cucumber, mint, spinach, quinoa, melon<\/li><li>Avoid: spicy, acidic, too much spice, alcohol<\/li><li>Cooling drinks: coconut water, rose tea, fresh mint lemonade<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Morning routine:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Coconut oil abhyanga self-massage<\/li><li>Sheetali or Chandra Bhedana breathing<\/li><li>Rose water facial spray<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Evening quiet:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Evening walk at sunset<\/li><li>Foot massage with rose or lavender oil<\/li><li>Bedtime: 10:30 PM\u201311:00 PM<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>\ud83c\udf31<\/strong><strong> KAPHA type (earth + water)<\/strong><\/h3><p>Kaphas may still be in \"winter mode\" at this time - lethargy, slowness, mucus - goal: <strong>activation, lightness, invigoration.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Meal:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Light, spicy, warm dishes: mung dhal, roasted vegetables, legumes<\/li><li>Use: ginger, turmeric, black pepper, chili<\/li><li>Avoid: dairy products, sugar, bread, heavy foods<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Morning routine:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Dry brush massage or abhyanga with spicy oil (e.g. mustard oil)<\/li><li>Movement: sun salutations, more vigorous yoga, running<\/li><li>Drink warm water with ginger<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd38<\/strong><strong> Evening quiet:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Light dinner (no later than 7:00 PM)<\/li><li>Invigorating breathing exercises (e.g. Kapalabhati \u2013 only if you are not Pitta dominant!)<\/li><li>Bedtime: around 10:00 PM<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mit javaslunk m\u00e1jusra az \u00e1jurv\u00e9da vil\u00e1g\u00e1b\u00f3l?
